Having experimented with few dessert recipes, this time I wanted to make something different keeping Christmas in mind. I have always loved white chocolates because of the color and the rich milk content. But, again I would say, like always, when you experiment with new recipes, think of the person who inspires you in discovering these and you will succeed. So far, all my experiments have been successful.
Chocolate Bark is very easy to make. You don’t even need ready-made chocolates to make this super easy recipe. So, lets check out how this can be made with ease at your home. You can use chocolates cubes if you want if you can’t make chocolates at home.
INGREDIENTS FOR THE CHOCOLATE BARK
- 250 gms milk powder.
- 1 cup powdered sugar.
- 1 cup chocolate powder.
- 1 cup milk.
- ½ cup water.
- 25 gms chopped roasted almond.
- 25 gms chopped roasted cashew nuts.
- 25 gms chopped dried raisins.
INGREDIENTS FOR THE WHITE CHOCOLATE BARK
- 50 gms milk powder.
- 50 pcs of white chocolate cubes.
- 1/4th cup milk.
- 25 gms chopped roasted almond.
- 25 gms chopped roasted cashew nuts.
- 25 gms chopped dried raisins.
The amount of milk powder for the chocolate bark and the white chocolate bark depends on the quantity you want to make. You would require less amount of milk powder for the white chocolate bark as you would use white chocolate cubes.
CHOCOLATE BARK PREPARATION
- Take a tray and cover it with a butter paper. If you don’t get butter paper, you can use aluminum foil.
- Light up the flame and put a non-stick bowl. Add the milk powder, powdered sugar and mix it well by adding the water.
- Add the milk to it and add the chocolate powder and mix well. Make sure you cook it on low flame, else it would get burnt.
- Keep stirring until a thick texture forms and you can check it with a spoon. If it doesn’t flow like water you can turn off the flame and pour the hot liquid chocolate on the tray.
- Sprinkle the chopped almond, cashew nuts and dried raisins on the top of the liquid chocolate.
- Put it in the deep fridge and refrigerate for 6-8 hours.
- Take out once you feel is ready to eat.
- Cut it in different shapes as you want.
WHITE CHOCOLATE BARK PREPARATION
- Take a tray and cover it with a butter paper. If you don’t get butter paper, you can use aluminum foil.
- Light up the flame and put a non-stick bowl. Add the white chocolate cubes. When it starts melting keep checking that it doesn’t change color to brown. When it is totally melt add the milk powder.
- Add the milk to it and mix well. Make sure you cook it on low flame.
- Keep stirring until a thick texture forms and you can check it with a spoon. If it doesn’t flow like water you can turn off the flame and pour the hot liquid chocolate on the tray.
- Sprinkle the chopped almond, cashew nuts and dried raisins on the top of the liquid chocolate.
- Put it in the deep fridge and refrigerate for 3-4 hours. (This would take less time in the freezer as it contains chocolate cubes)
- Take out once you feel is ready to eat.
- Cut it in different shapes as you want.
